Reviews make the difference

 

When asked, Why do a review? A somewhat cynical answer often may pop into mind such as, “because everyone does”.  Then, again, some may have more socially redeeming motivations, such as wanting to change the world or.. to help us improve our practice to better serve your needs and the needs of those to follow.  We clearly intend the latter.

We carefully consider and use the reviews we gratefully receive to identify a rationale on our need for improvement.  We can often find specific rationales that might emerge from our customers views that we may otherwise over look.

First, we look for total consistency in our service strategy to maintain customer satisfaction.  As an example, we received a comment from one startled but happy client, “They even washed my car on a rainy day.”  The consistency reaffirms the application of effort we strive for.

Secondly, we look for a flaw in our previous practice as a means to refine and improve.  We’ve seen comments such as, “ I love my new windshield wipers! Now to clean the inside of my window so I can actually see.”  Yes, that comment now has us cleaning the inside of the window on a wiper replacement. Anything less is less than full service.

Lastly, we get a sense of the value of time.  All reviews have taken the sender a few precious minutes to write and send through their thoughts.  Those moments that could have been spent doing chores, helping others, spent with loved ones are sent to us and are appreciated in a way that we find hard to express.

I had a clunking noise on the front end of my Volvo. The tech. took it for a test drive and upon return hoisted the car for inspection. I was shown the worn ball joints & motor mount. The vehicle was repaired in quick response for my Ottawa trip. The people are very professional and I will be returning for future maintenance work.

I am very satisfied with with the work done but I did not like the multiple suggestions for replacing virtually all fluids and a battery. It may have been unintentional but I felt pressured. Having access to a courtesy car made amends. I have had my cars serviced by he same garage for 25 years prior to moving to Burlington and I am accustomed to getting the necessary changes recommended, not every conceivable one. To keep my custom you will have to prove yourselves to me and that you are not trying to sell me what I don't really need. I tend to keep my cars for a long time and I get them regularly serviced and I don't flit from garage to garage for servicing.
